Our goal is to bring you truly affordable, engaging crafting workshops in a fun and safe space. The projects are meant for crafters and creatives of all levels. Our main objectives are to have fun, decompress and learn creative skills from one another. Crafting shouldn’t feel like a big daunting project and crafting workshops shouldn’t feel exclusive or bougie.
Tu Madre workshop fee depends on the crafting project but is always very affordable. RSVP and online payment are required.
We normally schedule workshops around holidays, but our goal is to do bi-monthly workshops.
Workshops normally are 3 hours. There is no requirement to stay the full 3 hours. Attendees are free to stay however long they want.
Crafting doesn’t have to be an expensive hobby (like $300 cutting machines); so when possible, we try to use inexpensive art/crafting tools, repurposed materials, everyday household items and tools, scraps, and donated materials.
Workshops are co-hosted by a featured artist, crafter or boss lady.
Always bring cash in case you want to purchase extra materials or to buy unique items from the featured artist. Yay, no shipping fees!
Workshops start with introductions; a brief Tu Madre introduction, followed by the featured artist introduction, then project follow-along demo. Once attendees learn the project steps and techniques, they are free to craft at their own pace.
